Resume Upload
What file formats are supported?
We support DOCX (Microsoft Word), PDF, and plain text. You can either upload a file or paste your resume content directly into the text field.
Is there a file size limit?
Yes, uploaded files should be under 5MB. Most resumes are well under this limit. If your file is too large, try removing embedded images or converting to a different format.
Can I use multiple resumes?
Yes, you can upload different resumes for different job analyses. Each analysis is independent, so you can tailor your approach for different roles.
Match Score & Analysis
How accurate is the match score?
The match score is based on AI analysis of skills, experience, keywords, and job requirements. It provides a realistic estimate of how well your background fits the role. However, hiring decisions involve many factors beyond what can be measured algorithmically, so use the score as guidance rather than a guarantee.
What does the match score mean?
70%+ indicates a strong match - you have most required skills. 50-69% is a moderate match - review the gaps and consider addressing them. Below 50% suggests significant gaps, but you may still apply if you can demonstrate transferable skills or willingness to learn.
How are skill gaps identified?
We compare the skills, technologies, and qualifications mentioned in the job description against your resume. Gaps are skills the employer wants that aren't clearly demonstrated in your resume.
What are partial matches?
Partial matches are skills where you have related experience but not an exact match. For example, if a job requires React and you have Vue.js experience, that's a partial match since both are frontend JavaScript frameworks.
Interview Questions
How are interview questions predicted?
We analyze the job requirements and your resume to predict likely questions. Core questions test your main skills, gap-based questions probe areas where your experience is limited, and behavioral questions relate to the role's responsibilities.
Should I prepare for all suggested questions?
Focus especially on gap-based questions (highlighted in yellow) as interviewers often probe areas where your resume shows less experience. Core skill questions are also important as they verify your main qualifications.
Tailored Resume
What's the difference between resume templates?
Experience-focused: Chronological format highlighting work history, best for candidates with strong relevant experience. Skills-focused: Leads with technical skills, good for career changers or those with diverse backgrounds. Compact ATS: Minimal formatting optimized for Applicant Tracking Systems, best for online applications.
What is ATS and why does it matter?
ATS (Applicant Tracking System) is software used by companies to filter resumes before human review. ATS-friendly resumes use clean formatting, standard section headings, and relevant keywords to pass automated screening.
Can I edit the downloaded resume?
Yes, the DOCX format can be opened and edited in Microsoft Word, Google Docs, or any compatible word processor. We recommend reviewing and personalizing the resume before submitting.
Application Tracking
How does application tracking work?
Each time you analyze a job, it's saved to your applications list with the company name, job title, URL, and analysis date. You can update the status (Applied, Interview, Offer, Rejected) to track your progress.
Can I add jobs I applied to elsewhere?
Currently, the tracker only includes jobs you've analyzed through go2land. We're considering adding manual entry in future updates.
Privacy & Security
Is my resume data secure?
Yes, your data is stored securely and only accessible to you. We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure password hashing, and follow security best practices. We do not share your information with third parties.
Can I delete my data?
Yes, you can request deletion of your account and all associated data. Contact us through the feedback form to request account deletion.
Do you use my resume to train AI?
No, we do not use your personal resume data to train our AI models. Your data is only used to provide you with analysis results.

Can I use go2land for non-tech jobs?
